The future of Kogarah RSL Club
is in good hands with Veridian to
start construction



The long-awaited regeneration of Kogarah is set to begin with Veridian, the new development that will house the transformed Kogarah RSL Club along with resort-style apartments, moving to the construction phase on the back of extremely strong sales results.

Development partner Capital Bluestone has appointed a builder to deliver the project on land owned by the Kogarah RSL Club, with Westbourne Constructions starting the demolition and construction phase after an on-site ground breaking ceremony today.

Veridian is the first of its kind in Kogarah and offers a unique housing choice for the area, where residents will enjoy landscaped entertainment, barbecue and relaxation spaces on the rooftop and podium levels. The rooftop terrace will also feature an exclusive residents-only space for socialising including seating areas, barbecues and a moonlight cinema.

The development includes a new 2,000 sqm trading floor for the Kogarah RSL Club, including a range of dining options such as alfresco cafes to activate the street-front of Railway Parade.

Sales have been very strong since the project was launched in November 2015 with over 95 per cent of apartments now sold. A handful of buyers can still be part of Veridian’s success, with just five one-bedroom units left, priced from $580,000. Buyers to date have included investors, young families, empty nesters and first homebuyers. Capital Bluestone Managing Director Ben Fairfax said he was excited that Veridian was entering the construction phase.

“Veridian is going to be a game-changer not just for residents and RSL members but for the entire Kogarah community,” he said.

“There is simply nothing else like Veridian in the area and this has been reflected by the strong interest in the project. Apart from delivering exceptional housing quality and upgrading the RSL, Veridian will also be the catalyst for creating a thriving business hub.”

Kogarah RSL Club General Manager Grant Amer agreed that the development would breathe new life into both the club and the local area.
